La possession de renards comme animaux de compagnie s'est popularisée ces dernières années grâce au buzz des vidéos sur les réseaux sociaux.  À notre avis, ces animaux ne sont actuellement pas adaptés pour vivre avec les humains. Il est néanmoins possible d'apprivoiser un renard.

The owning of foxes as pets has been popularized in the last few years thanks to viral internet videos on social media.  In our opinion, these animals are not currently adapted to life with humans.  However, it is possible to tame a fox.

On ne peut pas dire que ce mot soit vraiment un compliment lorsqu'on vient à être traité de mégère. « Femme acariâtre ou harpie », nous dit le Larousse.

You can't say that it's really a compliment when you've just been called a shrew.  "A surly woman, a harpy," the Larousse tells us.
